Jan Štursa (1880 –1925 Prague)
Sulamit Rahu, (1910 -11)
One of the founders of Czech modern sculpture. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague in a special class under Josefa Václav Myslbek. His works were gradually influenced by Realism, followed by Impressionism and Symbolism, and finally Art Nouveau. A woman became the most frequent motif of his work. His statue Sulamit Rahu was successfully presented at the XIInd International Exhibition in Venice in 1920.
