Malich´´´´ s work is unparalleled in the history of Czech modern art. It is unique and, at the same time, solitary. His inspiration comes from nature and culminates in the infinite cosmos. That is where he finds the energy which he captures in his drawings and graphics through lines of force, complemented by his personal experience with, and feelings towards, light and colours. The use of minimum mass in his statues brings his work to the very limits of modern sculpture.
