The armchair designed by architect Jan Kotěra in 1905–1907 comes from the original furnishings of the interior of the National House in Prostějov. It is a variant of chair no. 402. The armchair has a broad seat and a specific double reinforcement of the back frame. In the catalogue of the manufacturers, Gebrüder Thonet, it has no. 1402. In the National House in Prostějov it was used for instance in the lecture hall and in the boxes of the theatre hall.
