Blind Spot / Johanna Tinzl: Back to Vienna - Body Adaptations

The large-format photographic series by Austrian visual artist Johanna Tinzl reflects on the life of Helga Pollak-Kinsky, a Central European writer and philanthropist who was deported to the Terezín ghetto during the war together with her father, the owner of the famous Viennese café Palmhof. The project was conceived during the Covid-19 pandemic, bringing back into public space the human body, specifically that of women and advanced age, and themes associated with the dramatic 20th century. The opening will take place in the presence of the author.
