Museum Film Festival ‘MUSAIONFILM 2019’, which took place in in Uherský Brod, presented to the public the outputs of the ‘ArtCoMe’ project. Animated student clips have even received a certificate of merit from the jury.
The 22nd year of the museum film festival was held under the auspices of the Jan Amos Comenius Museum in Uherský Brod. Into the programme of screened films four animated clips created by students during the ArtCoMe international meeting in Olomouc (November 2018) was also integrated.
Student clips were focused on the socio-historical topics corresponding with the time frame of the exhibition ‘Years of Disarray 1908–1928’. At the same time these topics had to have a national or regional character. The audience of the film festival thus became acquainted with the story of legionary children, the transformations of the Zsolnay porcelain factory, the fate of cinemas in Warsaw cinemas and the modernization of the city of Bratislava in the given period. Students have also created articles on Wikipedia, reportages, newspaper articles, and designs for posters.
The professional jury was impressed by the ArtCoMe project. Members of the jury evaluated thirty-five competing films and awarded fourteen of them. ‘Film professionals was also very interested in the overall concept of the international educational programme and appreciated the high level of student works,’ said project manager Eva Jurečková, who represented the project team in Uherský Brod.
